Would it be ok to use black Carhartt overalls and Carhartt jacket for bellow zero weather to go snowboarding ? - black overalls

I want to spend any money to get new pants and jacket for snowboarders. otherwise I'll get ?..... hot and humid in the Carhartt clothing is water Proff, but not as a real snowboard clothing. I think it might work, but not for sure that just once I wish for snow now all limits of experience.
